i have just started a tank for my little son and the egg container doesnt really look like eggs it tells you after 24hrs if not hatched remove how easy is it to see the hachlings ?

What does it look like then?
It can be difficult if you're not used to seeing the eggs in amongst the detritus.
I would not remove the eggs/detritus until 72 hours had passed. Follow my basic set-up on the main site and you can't go wrong.
